CSC 486: Getting a Working Build


Installing Ruby on Rails and Code Workout on your server at about noon today. The only issue was the lacing food and sleep. The great thing is that we got our goal done for this week. Now, on to the next step in our master goal, Yea! Below are the steps that we took.

What steps we did:

  1. We followed: 
  2. Then we followed this until the setting up of MySQL.
  3. Then we cloned the git repo.
  4. Then we run:
  5. $ bundle install
  6. $ rake db:migrate
  7. $ rake db:reset
  8. $rake db:populate
  9. $rails s


$rails s -p “port number”

  1. Then you should be able to go the URL:
